Christine Echtner — Mixed Media & Acrylic Artist
Client: Christine Echtner
Produced by: Beatrix Creative Agency
Role: Brand Strategy, Email Marketing Strategy, Social Media Direction
Objective:
Help Christine (Sam’s Mom) build a more intentional online presence that feels as personal and expressive as her work. She had been steadily growing her email list at art fairs, but wasn’t using it consistently at home, and we wanted to give her audience a regular, meaningful touch point. The goal was to keep collectors and admirers engaged, introduce new people to her work, and create a space where she could share the stories, process, and everyday moments that inspire her art — all while staying true to her voice.
Approach:
This wasn’t about giving her a “brand voice” she didn’t need — it was about elevating what was already there. We built a strategy around authenticity and connection, leaning into her natural storytelling style and the small, charming moments that make her life and art feel so intertwined. Her content blends artwork, behind-the-scenes process, studio snapshots, pets underfoot, garden updates, and reflections on creativity, all shared with her honest, quirky, thoughtful tone. We also introduced a consistent newsletter rhythm to create deeper engagement, along with plans for a warm, conversational automated welcome sequence so new subscribers get an immediate sense of who she is.
Execution:
We established a bi-monthly newsletter cadence that alternates between personal reflections and studio updates, while refining the structure, flow, and storytelling so it feels cohesive but never overproduced. On social, she posts a mix of new pieces, sold work, in-progress shots, and glimpses into her day-to-day life, averaging 1–2 posts a week across Instagram and Facebook. All content remains authentically her — I simply guide the strategy, offer suggestions for balance and variety, and help around big shows or sales when an extra push is helpful.
Results:
Her newsletter now sees a 50.9% open rate, outperforming Mailchimp’s 42.17% industry benchmark for Arts & Artists (Mailchimp Email Benchmark Report 2025). Website traffic is up 273% year over year, with more than 8,000 visitors in 2025, and she consistently sees noticeable spikes whenever a newsletter is sent. She’s also surpassed 700 followers on Instagram, which, while modest on paper, represents a deeply engaged and supportive audience.
More importantly, her community feels closer and more connected — people comment, reply, share, and check in not just because they love her art, but because they feel invested in her world. That combination of authenticity, consistency, and heart is what continues to grow her presence both online and in person.
